Construction markets globally currently face increased uncertainty which poses a significant risk to those involved. For those working on energy, infrastructure and construction projects, the ability to successfully manage those risks arising in relation to the unexpected events, pressure on supply chains, as well as time and money claims is key.

Drawing on examples from our legal practices and international disputes, as well as contrasting common law and civil law approaches (and how the same FIDIC clause may have the potential for different consequences depending on the jurisdiction), we will discuss the key FIDIC provisions addressing force majeure and frustration (supply chain disruption) as well as time and money claims.

This event is of interest to those involved in energy, infrastructure and construction projects, particularly where common law and civil jurisdictions intersect.
