Baker Tilly is continuing to expand its Tax practice in Stuttgart. Effective October 1, 2026, Daniel Riehle will join the team as a partner and will focus on international employee assignments, long-term incentives, and income tax and severance pay matters.

Baker Tilly has appointed tax adviser Daniel Riehle as a Partner in its Global Mobility practice in Stuttgart. The hire deepens the firm’s specialist advice on international assignments and further builds out its boutique approach to tax.

“Daniel brings deep expertise in one of the most dynamic areas of tax advice – exactly what our internationally active clients need,” said Oliver Hubertus, Managing Partner of Baker Tilly. “His arrival is another step in our BT28 strategy: building our Tax practice into a highly specialised boutique by developing strong talent and adding outstanding people from outside.”

A tax adviser since 2006, Riehle has around 20 years’ experience in Global Mobility, including 17 years at Deloitte and PwC. Most recently, he headed the Global Mobility practice at Kullen Müller Zinser, leading a team of twelve. He advises on the tax aspects of international assignments, domestic and international payroll tax, and long-term incentives, management equity and severance in cross-border contexts.

“Baker Tilly combines first-class advice with the reach of an international network – the ideal platform for Global Mobility work,” said Riehle. “I look forward to growing the practice in Stuttgart alongside my Munich colleagues Ulrike Thomas and Christian Eisele.”

Under its BT28 strategy, Baker Tilly is building its tax business into a specialist tax boutique. The firm is recruiting proven experts with an entrepreneurial mindset and integrating them and their teams for the long term – combining technical excellence with the international reach of an integrated network.
