At Baker Tilly, each and everyone of us always base our thoughts and actions on clear values and act in accordance with the law at all times. Compliance with laws, standards, guidelines and ethical principles is of the utmost importance to us in order to maintain the trust of our clients and contractual partners.

Consequently, we have implemented a whistleblower protection system in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) and the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG), as well as the Professional Code of Conduct for Auditors/Sworn Auditors.

It offers clients and business partners the opportunity to report violations of applicable laws or our company's internal guidelines anonymously. Maintaining confidentiality is a top priority and is fully guaranteed. Therefore, we have commissioned a renowned provider of an electronic platform, and therefore an independent third party, in order to protect your identity. This allows you to address potential violations discreetly and at an early stage without having to fear any disadvantages. This solution enables us to follow up on your reports promptly and take the necessary action. While maintaining the confidentiality of the reporting persons, those responsible at the whistleblower reporting office are obliged to clarify the reported violations and, if necessary, to take measures in coordination with the Management Board and the management teams to eliminate the reported violations; confidentiality will be maintained at all times also in this respect. In individual cases, however, the clarification may also result in no action being taken.

We would like to emphasize that we very much welcome and fully endorse your support and thank you in advance for your contribution.

You can report the following violations, among others:

  • Violations of criminal law provisions: Any type of criminally relevant behavior that violates applicable law.
  • Violations subject to fines: Administrative offenses in which the violated standard serves to protect life, limb, health or the rights of employees or their representative bodies.
  • Violations of federal and state laws implementing European regulations: This includes breaches of various regulations, such as anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws, regulations on product safety, road safety, transportation of dangerous goods, environmental protection, food and feed safety, data protection, competition law, professional law and professional quality standards and much more.

Together, we all promote a responsible corporate culture and therefore want to identify any violations at an early stage so that we can act appropriately and consistently. Thank you for supporting us in this respect.
