Baker Tilly Advises SEVEST on Acquisition of Majority Stake in IBG HydroTech

International audit and advisory firm Baker Tilly has advised SEVEST Management GmbH (“SEVEST") on its acquisition of a majority stake in IBG HydroTech GmbH (“IBG”). The transaction establishes a strategic partnership between the two companies as part of a long-term succession solution. 

An interdisciplinary Baker Tilly team led by Sebastian Hafner conducted the financial and tax due diligence for SEVEST and supported the firm throughout the entire transaction process.

Founded in 1996, IBG specializes in the development, manufacture and distribution of components and systems for the trenchless rehabilitation and cleaning of pressurized potable water pipes and sewer pipes. Over the past three decades, the company has built a strong international market position and established its solutions and systems globally. 

SEVEST, led by its founding partner Philipp Haindl, has acquired the majority stake in IBG effective today. Long-standing owner and Managing Director Norbert Olbrich retains a significant stake in the company and will continue to serve as Managing Director. The existing management team will remain in place and, together with SEVEST, drive the company’s next phase of growth. IBG’s proven business strategy and its trusting, long-standing relationships with customers and business partners will remain unchanged.
