Baker Tilly advises United Brands Group on acquisition of Swedish Wiges AB

Munich, August 22, 2025 – The international consulting and audit firm Baker Tilly has advised United Brands Group GmbH, a portfolio company of emdequity Group, on the acquisition of Swedish Wiges AB from Walking Textiles AB.

The Munich-based Baker Tilly transaction team led by Frank Stahl and Robert Rostek provided comprehensive legal (transaction advisory, incl. LOI, SPA) and financial (due diligence, transaction advisory) advice on the transaction.
In detail, the Baker Tilly advisory team in Germany was made up as follows:

• Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Advisory: Frank Stahl, German CPA/Tax Advisor; Florian Corzilius, CFA, Director; Tim Louis Schwarzmeier, Junior Manager
• Legal Transaction Advisory: Robert Rostek, Attorney-at-Law, Partner; Sonja Dechansreiter, Attorney-at-Law, Senior Manager; Verena Lehner, Attorney-at-Law, Manager

The transaction was handled in close cooperation with Glimstedt's lawyers in Sweden: Michael Lettius, Carl-Johan Ask and Filip Lettius were responsible for the legal due diligence and transaction support (SPA; real estate, lease) on site.

With its strong international network and interdisciplinary setup, the Baker Tilly team was able to seamlessly dovetail all key financial and legal issues and efficiently support the cross-border transaction.

With the acquisition of Wiges AB, United Brands Group further expands its market presence in Scandinavia. In 2024, United Brands Group was established as a new global player in the textile segment through the acquisition of textile manufacturer Onskinery and the merger with existing holdings of emdequity Group.

Some of the previous operating shareholders of the holding company Walking Textiles AB are to remain part of the company and continue its growth course.
