Baker Tilly cooperation with Start-Up Labs Hamburg-Bahrenfeld

Baker Tilly has entered into a wide-ranging cooperation with Start-Up Labs Hamburg-Bahrenfeld , an incubator for promoting research-based start-ups with a physical or biophysical background. The focus is on providing legal mentoring to founders based at the Labs in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld: once a month, lead attorney Philip Koch (Manager) will be on site at Start-Up Labs to advise start-ups on important legal issues relating to setting up a business, contractual aspects, attracting investors, and compliance with other legal requirements. 

The mentoring program aims to encourage young people to start their own businesses and to support young companies in developing their entrepreneurial mindset and legal expertise, as well as in navigating legal risks. 

Supporting and promoting founders

Attorney-at-law and partner at the Hamburg office, Oliver Köster, LL.M, welcomes the new cooperation: “We wish to accompany founders on their way to independent entrepreneurial thinking and promote creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit.”

With this cooperation, Baker Tilly is further expanding its activities in the field of start-up consulting – in addition to the new cooperation, there is already a successful collaboration with Campus Founders in Heilbronn, Start2 Group, German Accelerator, and the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship in Munich. “I am very happy to expand our network in the area of start-ups, young companies, and venture capital (VC) and, in doing so, to support young companies in realizing their visionary ideas while taking into account the legal framework,” says Philip Koch.
