Baker Tilly advises Rigeto portfolio company on acquisition of Neomar GmbH

Baker Tilly has provided tax advice to Oceanloop Group, part of Munich-based Rigeto Unternehmerkapital GmbH, on the acquisition of aquaculture technology company Neomar. The acquisition was preceded by a corporate separation of the two business units land-based shrimp farming and seafood trading from the Rigeto portfolio company Crusta Nova.

This resulted in the establishment of Oceanloop Group, the leading European company in land-based shrimp farming, which acquired the shrimp farm Förde Garnelen in Kiel at the same time as Neomar. Since then, the seafood trade has been operating independently under the HONEST CATCH brand.

The advisory services of the team around Baker Tilly partner Uwe Roth comprised a tax due diligence and the tax structuring of the purchase agreement (SPA). Director Stefan Lehner and Manager Markus Cullefors were also significantly involved in the project.

This was another successful transaction in which Baker Tilly advised Munich-based Rigeto Unternehmerkapital GmbH.
