Baker Tilly advised IX Group on the integration of Berlin-based HTGS (Hoch- und Tiefbau-Generalplanung Schröder GmbH) into the group, providing Financial and Tax Due Diligence as well as SPA advisory services.

The international advisory and audit firm Baker Tilly provided comprehensive advisory services to IX Group in connection with the addition of Berlin-based Hoch- und Tiefbau-Generalplanung Schröder GmbH (HTGS) to the group.

The IX Group is building one of Germany’s leading groups of engineering and specialist planning firms in the fields of fire protection, structural engineering, general planning, and architectural project planning. Founded by Philipp Krautenbacher and Moritz Jacoby, the group focuses on bringing together mid-sized planning firms, particularly as part of succession planning solutions. 

Headquartered in Berlin, HTGS specializes in structural engineering, fire protection engineering, general planning, and architectural project planning, with a team of more than 30 professionals. The company has been delivering sophisticated projects in commercial and industrial construction for more than 30 years, particularly in key sectors such as energy and infrastructure. 

Led by Frank Stahl, Baker Tilly supported IX Group throughout the transaction process with Financial Due Diligence, Tax Due Diligence, as well as tax and commercial advisory services relating to the SPA.

As part of the transaction, HTGS co-founder Hans-Joachim Schroeder became a significant shareholder in IX Group. He will continue to serve as Managing Director of HTGS while also supporting the group on strategic matters and future acquisitions.
