Frankfurt am Main, 12. January 2021 – Simon Parviz (45), specialist lawyer for construction and architectural law and notary, and his team of 9, including three lawyers, joined Baker Tilly at the beginning of the year. Based in Frankfurt he will set up the new Baker Tilly legal sector Private Construction Law as well as the first notary’s office at Baker Tilly. Parviz’s professional focus lies on providing advice on issues of private construction law, architects’ law, construction damage and recourse law as well as project advice during construction processes. This complements Baker Tilly’s range of real estate consulting services.

Another focus of Simon Parviz’s team will be the further expansion of legal advice for companies operating in China or for Chinese companies becoming active in Europe. With Mr. Parviz, there are now more than 20 lawyers working at Baker Tilly’s office in Frankfurt.

“We are very pleased that Simon Parviz and his team allow us to round off our interdisciplinary advisory services in the field of real estate with private construction law. We will also make use of his outstanding Far East contacts and experience to further expand our business in China,” comments Dr. Thomas Gemmeke, partner at Baker Tilly and member of the management board responsible for legal law.

Parviz began his professional career in September 2005 at a law firm in Marburg, where he exclusively specialised in private construction law. In mid-2009 he then moved to Frankfurt to join Leinemann Partner Rechtsanwälte mbB, where he was particularly engaged in advising listed and large medium-sized construction companies until he joined Baker Tilly. He also advised on major construction projects both out of court as well as in litigation. In 2014 Parviz was appointed partner of the law firm.

Parviz is author of various publications on private construction law and building expert law. He is also co-author of the specialist lawyer’s book of forms on building and architects’ law.
