Baker Tilly has provided business and tax advice to United Souvenirs GmbH – a subsidiary of Munich-based investment company VTC – on the acquisition of 51 percent of the shares in Muddastadt GmbH.
Signing and closing took place on November 9, 2022 in Berlin. Baker Tilly Partner Frank Stahl was responsible for the financial due diligence with his team Pascal Trilling (Manager) and Tim Bajrami (Assistant). The Partner responsible for the tax due diligence was Friedrich Wamsler with the support of Felix Oberfrank (Manager).
United Souvenirs GmbH is a leading European retailer and wholesaler of souvenirs and gift items with branches in Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Germany and Spain. The company is on a rapid growth course and is further expanding its market position with the acquisition of Muddastadt GmbH.
Muddastadt GmbH is a souvenir article dealer and engaged in both wholesale and retail trade; the company owns twelve sales branches in Berlin.
