Baker Tilly advises on the sale of Sport Signage to LIVE·TEAM

The international audit and advisory firm Baker Tilly has advised Sport Signage, a leading provider of branding and signage solutions in the sports and live events sector, on its sale to LIVE·Team.

Baker Tilly supported the Amberg-based company with an integrated, multidisciplinary advisory approach. The services provided included tax advisory, financial advisory – including the preparation of a financial fact book – as well as comprehensive legal advice and tax and commercial support throughout the negotiation and finalization of the share purchase agreement (SPA). The transaction was led at partner level by Matthias Winkler (Tax), Frank Stahl (Financial Advisory) and Ronny Walter (Legal).

Sport Signage is an established specialist in brand activation across stadiums, arenas and major international events. The company has a particularly strong presence in motorsports: since 2014, Sport Signage has been responsible for static and digital trackside advertising at every Formula 1 Grand Prix. The business will continue to operate globally from its existing locations under the Sport Signage brand.

The acquirer, Live·Team, is part of the global sports, entertainment and music group THE·TEAM. Through the transaction, Sport Signage gains access to Live·Team’s international production and logistics infrastructure, as well as THE·TEAM’s global network. At the same time, Live·Team significantly strengthens its capabilities in motorsports and continues to expand its live events business.
