Baker Tilly advises majority shareholder on the sale of the recruiting app Truffls to FUNKE Mediengruppe

The international consulting firm Baker Tilly has provided comprehensive legal advice to MeCruiting GmbH as majority shareholder on the sale of Truffls GmbH to FUNKE Works GmbH. Together with another investor, the founders Clemens Dittrich, Matthes Dohmeyer and Tobias Krönke held a qualified majority stake in Truffls GmbH via MeCruiting GmbH.

Funke Mediengruppe is taking over the job app Truffls and its team of around 30 people. Truffls is to be integrated into the Funke Works division in Berlin, which already includes six other job portals. “We are very happy to have found FUNKE Works as a strategic partner and are convinced that together we can help many more job seekers and recruiters with our mission: To make job search and recruiting enjoyable,” says Matthes Dohmeyer. Co-founder Clemens Dittrich adds: “We are very proud to be part of FUNKE now. This is a reward for the outstanding work of the entire Truffls team. We are now very much looking forward to our common future in cooperation with many strong platforms and experienced industry professionals at FUNKE.”

The advisory services of the Baker Tilly team, headed by partner Dr. Jörg Maitzen (Corporate/M&A, Munich), comprised the legal drafting and negotiation of all contracts and agreements relevant to the transaction, in particular with regard to the share purchase and transfer agreement. Partner Dr. Thomas Gemmeke and Senior Manager Daniela Stephan (both Corporate/M&A, Munich) were also involved.
