Baker Tilly advises CERTANIA on acquisition of BB7

An international Baker Tilly team provided business and tax advisory services to CERTANIA Group in connection with its acquisition of BB7 in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Munich, October 22, 2025 – The international consulting firm Baker Tilly provided comprehensive advisory services to CERTANIA Group in connection with its acquisition of BB7, a leading engineering and consulting firm specializing in fire safety, facades, and building safety in the United Kingdom and Ireland. With this acquisition, the Group is expanding its “Buildings & Infrastructure” service segment and setting a strategic milestone for its international expansion.

An interdisciplinary Baker Tilly team led by Munich-based partner Stefan Greger provided support for the transaction in the areas of financial due diligence and tax due diligence, as well as in the specific drafting of the share purchase agreement (SPA).

The financial due diligence, for which Greger was also responsible, was supported by Max Bracht (Senior Manager) and Matei Hristov (Consultant); the tax due diligence was handled by colleagues from Baker Tilly’s UK network firm mha, led by Partner Chris Denning.

With BB7, CERTANIA is establishing a standalone platform in the “Buildings & Infrastructure” service segment, which focuses on building safety, regulatory consulting, and sustainable design, and is expanding its operations to include a new strategic business unit.
