Baker Tilly strengthens Global Mobility division with new tax partner Andreas Bode

Baker Tilly continues to expand its Frankfurt office with the hire of a team of five tax experts.

Frankfurt, August 20, 2021 – The international advisory firm ­Baker Tilly announces with Tax Advisor Andreas Bode another notable hire at its Frankfurt office. Andreas Bode is responsible for the business line Tax/Global Mobility, which provides payroll tax and social security law advice to nationally and internationally operating companies in Frankfurt.

In addition to providing ongoing advice to clients on payroll tax and social security law, he focuses on comprehensive project planning for tax compliance management systems, disclosure and process projects, strategic projects in the areas of IT and change management. Furthermore, he also advises in connection with the preparation, processing and support of payroll tax and social security audits.

Moreover, he is responsible for the Germany-wide business area of corporate tax consulting for Chinese clients with branches in Germany established in the business line Tax in Frankfurt and thus complements the China Solutions division as part of the Baker Tilly Competence Center Global Solutions with his team. In this context, his work focuses on ongoing tax advice as well as tax declarations of domestic subsidiaries and permanent establishments of Chinese parent companies.

Andreas Bode made the move from PwC to Baker Tilly on August 1, 2021. There, he was most recently responsible for Employment Tax Consulting at the Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Munich offices and a member of the PwC TCMS Council. Prior to joining PwC, he was in the service of the Hessian tax authorities in Frankfurt.

At the beginning of the year, Rainer Schindler (energy taxes, public services) already moved to Baker Tilly's Leipzig office, in spring Baker Tilly's Munich office won Sebastian Billig (foreign trade, customs and sustainability) and recently the advisory firm announced the hire of Dr. Jörg Buschbaum, LL.M. (labor law and data protection) at the Frankfurt office in January 2022.
