Baker Tilly appoints 19 new Directors

Baker Tilly has appointed 16 new Directors from within its own ranks – congratulations to Marcus Carius, German CPA and tax advisor, Viviane Därr, tax advisor, Alexander Eisele, Jonas Hagen, German CPA and tax advisor, Julian Hanne, tax advisor, Katharina Hars, German CPA and tax advisor, Anke Hawerkamp, tax advisor, Daniel Hewera, attorney-at-law, Benedikt Hoffmann, tax advisor and attorney-at-law, Kathrin Jaeger, German CPA and tax advisor, Alexander F. Liebing, attorney-at-law, Sven Michels, Christian Neundorf, German CPA and tax advisor, Armin Scherer, German CPA, Dr. Kathrin Uhl, attorney-at-law, and Francisco Vazquez Gomez.

 

As the renowned Regensburg tax law firm WW+KN joined Baker Tilly at the turn of the year, Lydia Albert, tax advisor, and Florian Niebler, tax advisor, will in future also act as Directors at Baker Tilly. Furthermore, Baker Tilly welcomes Dr. Christian Schneider as new Director, who has more than 25 years of industrial expertise and worked as managing director in the wholesale press sector for the last six years. He is going to strengthen our Restructuring Competence Center from our Dortmund office.

Lydia Albert 
Due to the integration of WW+KN, tax advisor Lydia Albert started as Director at Baker Tilly as of January 1. Her key areas of expertise include corporate tax, inheritance and gift tax as well as VAT. 

Marcus Carius
Since 2018, Marcus Carius, German CPA, tax advisor and Sustainability AuditorIDW, has been part of the Baker Tilly team in Düsseldorf and Hamburg. He mainly advises and audits companies from the trading and manufacturing industries, the service sector, municipal companies as well as companies in the energy sector. His key areas of expertise include audits and audit-related consulting in connection with financial and non-financial reporting. Furthermore, Marcus Carius works as internal and external speaker. 

Viviane Därr
Tax advisor Viviane Därr has been part of our Munich Baker Tilly team since 2018. Her key areas of expertise include group tax law and tax accounting on which she comprehensively advises her clients. in addition to real estate investments, she focuses on companies in the health sector. 

Alexander Eisele
Alexander Eisele has worked at Baker Tilly’s Stuttgart office since early 2020. In advising companies from the energy & utilities sector and the manufacturing industry, his key areas of expertise include business valuation, financial modeling and transaction consulting. 

Francisco Vazquez Gomez
Francisco Vazquez Gomez joined Baker Tilly’s Frankfurt office in 2018. His key areas of expertise include the audit of credit and financial service companies’ annual financial statements pursuant to German HGB/RechKredV (Financial Institutions Accounting Ordinance), internal audits of financial institutions, and the conduct of special audits pursuant to Art. 44 KWG (German Banking Act) with a focus on credit business. 

Jonas Hagen
Jonas Hagen, German CPA and tax advisor, has joined Baker Tilly’s Düsseldorf office in 2021. His areas of expertise include the audit of listed companies’ annual and consolidated financial statements as well as the audit and audit-related consulting of medium-sized enterprises in a national and international context. He has particular expertise in the mechanical and plant engineering, industrial and consumer goods industries and the media sector. 

Julian Hanne
Tax advisor Julian Hanne has started in the Berlin office’s Real Estate group in 2021. He mainly advises real estate clients on tax-related issues, in particular in connection with tax declaration and the preparation of annual financial statements pursuant to German accounting requirements. 

Katharina Hars
Katharina Hars, German CPA and tax advisor, started at Baker Tilly’s Munich office in early 2023. She advises clients from industry, trade and production as well as the media and technology sectors. Her key areas of expertise include the audit of annual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with national and international standards. Katharina Hars also works as internal and external speaker. 

Anke Hawerkamp
Tax advisor Anke Hawerkamp has been part of Baker Tilly’s Dortmund team since July 1, 2023. Her key areas of expertise include tax consulting of national and international companies, tax declaration and the preparation of annual financial statements. 

Daniel Hewera
Attorney-at-law Daniel Hewera has joined Baker Tilly Düsseldorf’s Transfer Pricing team in 2016. He advises in particular companies in the energy, real estate and trading sectors, as well as clients from the industrial goods sector on all transfer pricing related issues. 

Benedikt Hoffmann
Benedikt Hoffmann, tax advisor and attorney-at-law, advises on the interface between corporate and tax law, in particular in connection with national and international corporate restructurings and transactions as well as in the area of venture capital & start-ups. He has particular expertise in the health care, media and financial service sectors. Benedikt Hoffmann has been part of Baker Tilly’s Munich team since early 2021. 

Kathrin Jaeger
Kathrin Jaeger, German CPA and tax advisor, has been part of Baker Tilly’s Düsseldorf team since 2014. She audits listed companies (IFRS) as well as consolidated and annual financial statements for medium-sized corporate groups of various legal forms. Kathrin Jaeger focuses on the mechanical engineering, wholesale, IT services, network expansion/infrastructure, hotel industry, municipal companies and universities sectors.

Alexander F. Liebing
Attorney-at-law Alexander F. Liebing has joined Baker Tilly’s Leipzig office in late 2018 and advises, among others, founders and investors. He specializes in corporate law, commercial law and reorganization law and also provides legal advice on national and international M&A and private equity transactions as well as advice on succession structuring.

Sven Michels
Sven Michels has been part of Baker Tilly since 2017. As Head of A&A Learning & Audit Methodology in our National Office, a particular focus of his work is on co-creating the way into the future with new technologies, processes and training concepts. Furthermore, he represents Baker Tilly at an international level, for example, in the Global Focus Steering Group, and supports various audits of medium-sized production, trade and service companies. 

Christian Neundorf
Christian Neundorf, German CPA and tax advisor, has been part of Baker Tilly’s Düsseldorf team since 2015. His key areas of expertise include the audit and consulting of pension funds and health insurance companies as well as companies in the automotive and engineering sectors. In addition to his work at Baker Tilly, he is an assistant lecturer at a university. 

Florian Niebler
Through the integration of WW+KN, tax advisor Florian Niebler has been contributing his expertise to Baker Tilly since the beginning of the year. Before joining WW+KN, he worked for five years at the Munich tax office as a financial expert (Diplom-Finanzwirt). His key areas of expertise include corporate tax, international tax law and inheritance and gift tax.

Armin Scherer
Armin Scherer, German CPA, joined Baker Tilly’s Nuremberg office in 2018. His key area of expertise is the audit of industrial companies’ annual and consolidated financial statements pursuant to national (German HGB) and
international accounting standards (IFRS). 

Dr. Christian Schneider 
Dr. Christian Schneider joined Baker Tilly on January 1. As expert and member of the Restructuring Competence Center, he supports companies during every stage of restructuring. His key areas of expertise include the preparation of restructuring and reorganization concepts, plausibility checks of corporate planning as well as the support and implementation of restructuring projects, including the assumption of special tasks and project responsibility in situations of radical change. 

Dr. Kathrin Uhl
Attorney-at-law Dr. Kathrin Uhl has worked at Baker Tilly’s Stuttgart office since late 2021. Her key areas of expertise include litigation and arbitration with a focus on liability disputes. Dr. Uhl advises clients in particular on complex legal disputes arising from product liability – starting with the examination of product liability/product safety related issues, to legal advice in connection with voluntary and officially ordered product recalls, to the assertion of recourse claims in the supply chain and coverage claims against insurers.
