Baker Tilly Strengthens Mid-Market Tax Advisory with Markus Krinninger

Baker Tilly continues to expand its Tax practice: effective 1 August 2026, tax advisor Markus Krinninger (51) has joined the firm as a Partner in Munich and Regensburg. With his extensive advisory experience, operational business background and strong network within Bavaria’s mid-market sector, the international advisory and audit firm is further strengthening its services for mid-sized corporate groups as well as its managed services offering.

“Markus Krinninger combines deep tax expertise with a highly practical understanding of the challenges faced by mid-sized businesses, particularly where tax advisory, accounting, reporting and international matters intersect,” says Oliver Hubertus, Managing Partner of Baker Tilly. “His arrival is another important step in delivering our ‘BT28’ strategy: expanding our Tax practice into a highly specialised boutique through strategic lateral hires while continuing to develop strong internal talent.”

Krinninger is a certified specialist advisor in international tax law and has been active as a tax advisory partner since 2011, most recently at Forvis Mazars. Prior to that, he gained hands-on corporate experience as Commercial Director of an engineering company. His areas of expertise include advising mid-sized corporate groups, particularly in the fields of accounting, reporting, consolidation and financial statement preparation.

For Krinninger, joining Baker Tilly also marks a reunion with long-standing professional colleagues. In 2013, he co-founded the WW+KN advisory firm together with Matthias Winkler, Kerstin Winkler and Marcel Radke. Since the end of 2023, they and their team have been part of Baker Tilly.
