Baker Tilly Advises Specialty Chemicals Group ALTANA on the Acquisition of perisens GmbH

International advisory and audit firm Baker Tilly has supported specialty chemicals group ALTANA, headquartered in Wesel, Germany, in its acquisition of perisens GmbH. A spin-off from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), perisens specializes in automotive radar and communication technologies.

With this acquisition, ALTANA is strategically strengthening its technological capabilities in an innovation-driven market environment. At the same time, the company is expanding its portfolio with highly specialized expertise that offers potential for new industrial applications. The transaction is therefore aligned with ALTANA’s strategy of further developing technologically sophisticated business areas.

Baker Tilly advised ALTANA on the transaction through a Financial Due Diligence led by Partner Nils Klamar, CFA, supported by Florian Corzilius, CFA (Director) and Philipp Schmitt (Consultant). The Tax Due Diligence was led by Dr. Christiane Krüger (Partner) together with Fynn Weigel (Senior Consultant).
