Professional liability insurance

Professional liability insurance is provided by Versicherungskammer Bayern, Versicherungsanstalt des öffentlichen Rechts, Maximilianstraße 53, 80530 Munich. The insurance coverage extends to Europe.


Territorial scope

The territorial scope of the insurance coverage includes services at least in the member states of the European Union and meets at least the requirements of 

  • Art. 67 of the German Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG), Art. 51 et seq. of the German Ordinance on the Implementation of Regulations Governing Tax Advisors, Tax Agents, and Tax Consulting Firms (DVStB).

The relevant professional regulations for tax advisors are the German Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG), the Implementing Regulation to the StBerG (DVStB), and the Professional Code of Conduct of the Federal Chamber of Tax Advisors (BOStB). In addition, the Tax Advisor Remuneration Regulation (StBVV) and the Specialist Advisor Regulation (FBO) apply.
