Baker Tilly advises Arklyz AG on acquisition of Asphaltgold GmbH & Co. KG

Munich, 12 May 2022 – Baker Tilly continues to accompany the Arklyz AG on its global growth path and provided business and tax support for the recent acquisition of sneaker and streetwear retailer Asphaltgold. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Overall, the team around Munich partners Frank Stahl, German CPA/Tax Advisor (Financial) and Uwe Roth, Tax Advisor, (Tax) provided support in the form of financial and tax due diligence as well as in the drafting of the purchase agreement. Senior Manager Stefan Lehner, Tax Advisor, (TDD; drafting of purchase agreement) as well as Senior Manager Christoph Beigel, Attorney-at-Law/Tax Advisor, (TDD) and Manager Pascal Trilling (FDD) completed the team.
Baker Tilly already provided a team of experts for Arklyz' acquisitions of The Athlete's Foot and Intersocks. The Athlete's Foot, meanwhile, has grown to 560 stores in 30 countries, while Intersocks is a leader in the design, development and production of functional sports socks.
Legal advice for the transaction was provided by the Munich-based law and tax consulting firm TRICON.
