JUVE Awards 2017: Baker Tilly in Germany is “Law Firm of the Year for Tax Law”

Baker Tilly in Germany has been awarded the title as “2017 Law Firm of the Year for Tax Law” by the trade magazine JUVE. The award was presented on October 26 at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt during a festive gala with about 1,000 invited guests and is one of the most important awards for law firms in Germany. With the award as best tax law firm JUVE honors Baker Tilly’s outstanding development in Germany.

On the Munich head office’s high level, Baker Tilly in Germany offers the entire service line related with tax law on a nationwide basis. Also on an international level, the law firm realized a respectable achievement: Within the international network, the German firm entered into a close cooperation with the Austrian TPA Group. Furthermore, Baker Tilly in Germany scored a major coup in Frankfurt, Germany’s vital financial center: The former Head of Tax of Deutsche Bank, Götz Weitbrecht, has joined the team, giving new impetus to the firm far beyond the Rhine-Main region.”

All in all, 18 awards have been presented during the 14th JUVE Awards. The JUVE editorial department awards law firms and law departments which can look back on a particularly successful year. JUVE bases its decision on information gathered from many thousands of discussions and written surveys of clients, partners as well as junior lawyers and judges. When selecting the winners, the editorial department pays particular attention to assessments going beyond professional expertise – especially with regard to strategic and customer orientation as well as future potential.
