Baker Tilly advises Haniel on investment in climate tech start-up

Baker Tilly provided business and tax advice to Haniel as it participated in Aerones' fundraising campaign.

In this financing round, which was led by Haniel together with the investment company Lightrock, Aerones was able to raise a total of 30 million US dollars.

The manufacturer of maintenance robots for wind turbines, based in Riga, Latvia, intends to invest the capital in the expansion of technical capacities and sales, in the extension of the range of maintenance services and in the development of new markets.

The engagement required an internationally well-rehearsed cooperation. The Baker Tilly team was compiled accordingly: Partner Nils Klamar and Director Daniel Zeiß (Germany) as well as Reinis Ceplis and Eriks Bahirs (Latvia) are responsible for the financial due diligence. The tax due diligence team comprises Partner Christian Wegener and Dr. Christiane Krüger from Germany, Anna Vilka from Latvia and Josh Siegel from the US.

“We are pleased to once again prove our international network’s efficiency with this project and to accompany Haniel with an international competence team until the completion of their investment” says engagement partner Nils Klamar.
