Due to a liquidity gap as a result of an investment commitment that was not met, sleeperoo GmbH had to file for insolvency with the Hamburg local court. Baker Tilly partner and attorney Finn Peters was appointed as the preliminary insolvency administrator. Together with founder and managing director Karen Löhnert, the specialist lawyer for insolvency law is striving for a quick takeover by a new investor.
The adventure nights specialist sleeperoo became known in 2018 through its participation in the TV show “Die Höhle der Löwen” (the German franchise of the international format Dragons' Den), where sleeperoo founder Löhnert secured a deal. Finn Peters, already involved in the turnaround of the start-up Frischepost, predicts a good chance for sleeperoo’s continued existence as a going concern.
